Rest stop in Oberdon Brogiotti street, right in the Calci center (the parking can contain three buses or fewer). It takes about 700 m to reach the Charterhouse from this car park.
Other rest stops in La Gabella area: via Granucci, via Lungomonte Pisano (near the petrol station) and via Ettore Tozzini (near the supermarket Eurospin).

Private cars, school bus or minibus (16 people)
Rest stop nearby the entrance of the Museum; it can be reached by going through via Roma until the delimitation of the pedestrian area, then entering on the dirt road on the left and arriving to the car park area under the trees (before the parking area reserved for the employees). On weekends, due to the large number of visitors, the Museum car park may be full. In this case, it is advisable to use the new municipal car park located in Via Margerita Hack near the Coop and the parking areas located in Via Trieste, Via Firenze and neighbouring areas.

Car carrying people with physical impairment
Cars serving people with disabilities, provided they have the appropriate permit, can use four parking spaces reserved for them. Two of these are located in the car park near the entrance to the Museum, which can be reached by driving all the way along Via Roma as far as the demarcation of the pedestrian zone and taking the dirt road on the left. Two other reserved parking spaces are located in Via della Certosa just before the beginning of the pedestrian zone.
It is possible to book a free transport service from the centre of the town to the entrance of the Museum offered by the Misericordia di Calci on Mondays and Wednesdays by calling 050/938400 at least 24 hours in advance (volunteers Maria Rosa Bianchi and Giuliano Pratali will answer).
